Please print and fill out the Organizer and bring it with you when you come in for your tax appointment. The organizer will help you make sure you have all the information you will need to prepare your taxes.
The Organizer is a great way to help you pull together information needed to prepare your taxes. It facilitates a quick workflow for your Tax Preparer and saves you time and money.
New Clients - please bring in your last year‘s tax return. This will greatly expedite the tax preparation process.
Additional items and information you need to bring to your appointment:
· Original source documents such as W-2's, 1099-NECs, 1099s-MISC, 1099s for interest, dividends, stocks and health insurance documentation (1095-A) if you have insurance through the marketplace.
· Bring any statements from investment accounts showing gains or losses on sales of investments.
· Copies of settlement statements from the purchase or sale of your personal residence and any other real estate.
· Statement from provider of dependent care expenses.
· Any backup documentation for itemized deductions like mortgage interest, charitable contributions or other items you would like to claim.
As a general rule, when in doubt.....bring it!
